Because CS2 Fucking Sucks
Valve replaced proper 128-tick servers with some "sub-tick" fantasy that somehow manages to feel worse in every measurable way. You're dying behind walls. This is fine.
Shots that clearly connect just don't. Point-blank headshots become polite suggestions. The hitboxes seem to be aspirational rather than functional.
CS:GO had years of polish. CS2 launched with visual bugs, audio glitches, smoke interactions that defy physics, and a Premier system held together with gaffer tape.
3D volumetric smokes were the selling point. Cool in theory. In practice: bullets interact weirdly, lineups changed, and your FPS dropped to single digits.
Footsteps that sound like they're in a different dimension. Grenades that go silent. CSGO audio was a competitive tool. CS2 audio is a liability.
Surf? KZ? Custom maps that built an entire generation of players? Gutted. The community that kept CSGO alive for a decade was handed a bucket of nothing.
